In October 2014, the Connecticut State Department of Education (CSDE) was awarded a federal State Education Agency School Climate Transformation Grant. The SCTG project in Connecticut will include a statewide audit of the status of Positive Behavioral Interventions & Supports (PBIS) implementation fidelity. Over the next three years, the State Education Resource Center (SERC), along with contracted assistance, will assess PBIS fidelity using the new School Wide PBIS Tiered Fidelity Inventory (TFI) tool in 100+ schools a year.

In order to facilitate an excellent rollout of the TFI in Connecticut, the CSDE has partnered with the Center for Behavioral Education and Research (CBER) at the University of Connecticut to conduct two TFI Facilitator Trainings this summer. The half-day program, facilitated by evaluation expert Susannah Everett, Ph.D., will provide a complete walk-through of the tool, best practices for implementation, and facilitator dialogue.
